With increasing awareness of climate change, we will look at how agriculture can adapt and make better use of our natural resources to ensure that farming is both profitable and sustainable. In response to the ever increasing pace of change, should we look at developing new varieties more quickly through genetic manipulation than traditional plant breeding can deliver. We will also look at how better use of recycling can minimise the depletion of our natural resources and see how a better understanding of cropping in relation to our soils and nutrient cycle is vitally important.
