The Durrell Challenge which is kindly sponsored by Butterfield Bank is a timed 13K road race. Runners will be treated to a stunning scenic running route which runners will start the heart of the island, taking them through lush green valleys and ending in the beautiful Jersey Zoo. Organisers encourage people of all abilities from around the globe to take part to raise valuable funds for the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. As in previous years, the 13k road race is just one element of a day of festivities welcoming everyone to Jersey Zoo for a Really Wild Day to raise valuable funds for this worthy cause.
The timed 13K road race starts at 09:00 in Victoria Park, St. Helier, and finishes at Jersey Zoo in Trinity. Organisers are encouraging people of all abilities to take part to raise valuable funds for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
Henry Cavill, our Race Ambassador, will be supporting the event. Runners who register for the VIP entry must raise at least £1,200 using a JustGiving fundraising page. VIP fundraisers will receive a welcome drink and light buffet, as well as the opportunity to meet Henry Cavill for a scheduled photograph*.
All those entered for the 13K race will automatically receive free entry into the Really Wild Day, as the race finishes within the zoo grounds. Please note, for your family and friends to gain access to the zoo, they will need to purchase tickets for the Really Wild Day. Entry is free for Durrell members, but booking is essential.
