Personalised ceremonies with special memories…

As an authorised and qualified civil celebrant and former BBC radio journalist, I’m experienced in conducting ceremonies and public speaking.

I can create and deliver a personalised service for any occasion including: a legal civil marriage or conversion to civil marriage service or ceremony; a non legal civil partnership, a commitment or wedding vow renewal ceremony; a funeral or a naming ceremony; and a birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion you want to mark.

Civil ceremonies enable you to devise personal wording, promises or readings and can incorporate some religious content, or none at all, or they can mark other faiths, cultural or family traditions, as you wish.

A bespoke script makes your event more unique and memorable, with the focus on you and those central to the ceremony, or the person someone was and the life they led. You have a say in the final version of this and have the option of a keepsake copy.

Poetry, prose, music and symbolic actions (such as candle lighting, sand or water pouring, hand fasting and balloon releasing), can all feature and I can read material on your behalf or be on standby to help others out if needed.

I’m also qualified in conducting spiritual wedding, couple and naming ceremonies. Ideal for outdoor settings, these are Pagan-like and nature based, incorporating reading and symbolic acts aligned to the earth’s elements within a ceremonial circle
